Above the homestead is the rim of the Sacramento Mountains some 1500' higher in elevation.​The surrounding wilderness is populated by deer, elk, turkey, bear, fox - all manner of wild animals and birds.​ It is designated Unit 34, and it's possible to get a land owner elk permit.​

The domes structure consists of three large geodesic domes joined to create one sprawling 7182 square foot home.​The 3 domes are joined by connectors which provide both privacy from dome to dome.​ Also there are additional extensions built onto each dome for bedrooms and work areas.​

The domes were originally designed as a workshop & retreat center.​ We have carried on that tradition, living in the smallest Dome and running the other two domes as a Nature Retreat.​ We're listed on airbnb, vrbo, glamping hub, and we have our own booking platform through Lodgify.​ The business has garnered hundreds of five star reviews and many return clients.​ Guests from all over the world have loved staying at The Domes.​

The largest dome (45' diameter) contains 2 large main floor bedrooms, and two bedrooms in spacious lofts.​ There's one bathroom on each floor.​ The huge living room has a floor to ceiling height of 27' with french doors and numerous skylights giving this part of the house a unique sense of light and dimension.​

The middle dome is 40' diameter and contains a large fully equipped kitchen, plus a dining room housing a custom made cherry table which seats 12.​ Two spacious loft bedrooms and bathroom complete the upper floor.​ The floor to ceiling height in this dome is 24'.​

The smallest dome is 35' diameter and is a fully functional single family home with kitchen, dining and open living area on the main floor, plus a loft housing bedroom, study and bathroom.​ Above the loft is a cupola with an amazing 360 degree view.​ The floor to ceiling height is 21' offering a wonderful balance between open atmosphere and cozy corners.​

We have cleared the land for two glamping areas with many more possible.​ On the first site we've nearly completed construction of a 30 ft deck on which will sit a 20 ft in diameter Inter-Shelter Dome.​ This Dome will give a unique upscale glamping experience and everything required for its construction may be included, pending negotiation.​

There is a well, plus a mountain spring water source which has been supplying the property for 120 years.​ Water rights for the spring are attached to the homestead so the buyer will take over water rights as well as having the well available.​ An extensive septic system was put in place to handle large groups.​ Electricity comes through the local co-operative.​ Heating is by wood and pellet stove.​

HUNTING LODGE

Located in New Mexico's Unit 34, the area is famous for it's plentiful elk, mule deer, bear, turkey, Barbary sheep, mountain lion and several small game species.​ Hunters from all over the USA converge on the Lincoln Forest to participate in the various seasonal hunts.​ Recently, Big Horn Sheep were reintroduced to these mountains although the hunts have not yet been scheduled.​

If you are an outfitter, the Domes are a perfect location for you.​ With a huge kitchen, dining room and plenty of beds, you'll be able to maximize your profits and keep overhead low.​ You can provide deluxe accommodations for your clients allowing you to maximize your group's populations.​
