Sherwood Acres Farm encompasses just over 290 acres with some 841 feet (non-contiguous) of frontage along Nolensville road (U.S. Hwy 31A-41A). Approximately 30 to 35 precent of the land area is open pasture with the balance of the site comprised of moderate to densely populated hardwoods. Overall topography ranges from +/-780 feet to +/-840 feet across the open pasture areas and from +/-800 feet to +/-1,160 feet across the timbered areas offering scenic views and private building sites. Some steeper slopes are noted along a ridge which extends from the north extremes of the site through the north central portion of the site creating a natural buffer for privacy. The front (east) and west portions of the site are bisected by two tributaries which travel in a north/south direction providing additional buffering and natural water sources for wildlife which frequent the site. A small farm pond is located in the northeast quadrant of the site just above a 40’ x 60’ “party barn” with septic permitted restrooms which could be incorporated into part of an amenity center. A private gravel drive extends from Nolensville Road to near the back stretches of the property allowing views of a majority of the property. A trail system meanders through the central wooded area creating hiking/walking trails for a planned community.
Commercial services to include shopping, entertainment, and restaurants are available in the Town of Nolensville. A new Publix grocery store and a new Kroger’s grocery store are being constructed near the intersection of Nolensville Road and Rocky Fork Road only three short miles from Sherwood Acres Farm.
Other public or civic uses conveniently located to Sherwood Acres Farm include Mill Creek Elementary School, Mill Creek Middle School, Nolensville High School, Mint Springs Farm Event Center, and Osburn Park Soccer Complex.
St. Michael Academy (SMA), located opposite Sherwood Acres Farm at 7674 Nolensville Road, is the Diocese of Nashville’s first regional elementary school serving students from greater Williamson County area. SMA's 102,000 square foot facility is a state-of-the art learning environment. The school will eventually serve approximately 525 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Future plans for the ±166.0-acre campus includes the building of Mother Teresa Catholic Church (Phase 2) and the construction of a high school (Phase 3). Timing, design and cost of the second and third phases of the project have not been determined.
North and within sight of Sherwood Acres Farm is the future home of Southpointe Community Church (currently under construction). Upon completion of all phases, the campus will include a fully functioning daycare, a private elementary school, a worship center and a 360-seat multipurpose center planned for use by the Church and outside agencies.
