Westmont at The Lane is a walkable, mixed-use community located in a key corridor of Upper Arlington. This project was developed by Crawford Hoying in partnership with the City of Upper Arlington to complement the award-winning development, The Lane, and create a new urban streetscape along Lane Avenue.
The property was originally purchased by another party looking to develop the site, but they encountered community pushback on the initial plans. Crawford Hoying then acquired the property in 2018 and immediately met with Upper Arlington residents to hear feedback and address concerns. Through numerous stakeholder discussions and multiple design iterations, Crawford Hoying received full neighborhood support of the new development plan.
Westmont at The Lane now features modern for-rent residential units in a highly amenitized building, a public parking garage and public parking lot, Class A office space, a 119-key TownePlace Suite Hotel, and numerous ground floor retail and restaurant spaces. In addition, eight luxury, for-sale townhomes were built (and sold) as part of this project to help fulfill the housing needs within this well-known community.

Crawford Hoying worked with several land owners to purchase, redevelop and inject vibrancy in a key corridor of the Upper Arlington, Ohio community. Residents and tenants of The Lane have access to a wide array of restaurants and retail right outside their doors. Located just minutes from The Ohio State University campus and easily accessible from SR315, Westmont at The Lane is the newest phase of The Lane development. The mixed-use community is adjacent to The Shops on Lane Avenue with key anchor tenant Whole Foods and walkability to a 109-key hotel and numerous other retail, residential and dining. Once construction is completed, Westmont at The Lane will offer eight for-sale townhomes, 133 for-rent residential units, a 119-key TownePlace Suite hotel, 395 public parking spaces, second floor class A office space and ground floor retail/restaurant space.
