The Bridgeport Inn is a historic hotel that was first constructed in 1877. Beginning in the 1920s, the historic hotel building was upgraded to expand the kitchen and restaurant seating, as well as to add 16 upstairs rooms. The second building was built in the late 1940s and expanded in the early 1950s. The onsite restaurant and bar has seating for 80 +/- people, and there is an outside dining area for 150 +/- people.
The property is located on Highway 395 in the heart of the Eastern Sierra, north of Mammoth Lakes, CA and south of Lake Tahoe. The area is annually visited by thousands of tourists for its access to outdoor recreation. Many come to the area to fish the well-known trout streams/lakes or enjoy backcountry winter recreation with over 500 miles of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling and multiple-use trails. Also notable is its proximity to the well-preserved ghost town of Bodie.
