Historic Downtown Hutto Incentives
At the February 19 City Council meeting, Hutto City Council voted to approve a new incentive program designed to support the continued revitalization of Hutto’s Historic Downtown. The program will help local businesses and property owners make improvements, restore historic buildings, and invest in projects that strengthen the heart of the community.
The updated incentives include assistance for building improvements, structural repairs, and restoration projects, along with reimbursement opportunities for certain fees associated with development and permitting. The program also offers tax‑based incentives that help reduce the cost of reinvestment over time. All incentives are tied to clear guidelines and a streamlined application process to ensure fairness and transparency.
