The Funky Dodo is environmentally friendly-hot water to all showers and the kitchen is provided via solar collectors, of which there are three on the property. There is also a gray water system, which captures laundry water and reuses it to flush the communal toilets.

The entire property, including all buildings and landscaping, has been recently rehabbed with new roofs, new interiors, updated electric and plumbing.

The Funky Dodo is fully licensed by the Belize Tourism Board, and is Gold Standard Certified for safety and cleanliness.
