Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast
Hospitality & Event Venue with farm | 8 Keys
Marketing description
Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast is a federal style farmhouse built between 1800 and 1810. This Boutique Inn sits on two parcels, about 10.5 acres total. The farmhouse, cottage, barn and corncrib are on the primary 8.2 acre lot, and the 2.3 acre lot across the street includes a pond, labyrinth, and several gardens. There is also a paved surface for tented events, land for parking up to 300 guests, parking for horse trailers, solar panels for hot water and pasture for horses.
The Inn itself consists of four guest rooms in the historic section of the house, a 2005 addition with three guest rooms and a separate cottage for a total of eight guest rooms. The owners' quarters is located privately on the third floor of the Inn. In addition to these rooms, there is a private office, an open kitchen and dining room as well as a cozy den that features a gas fireplace and opens to a large brick patio (and contains a secret passageway left from the Underground railroad).
The stone barn (also quite historic) has been a working facility for horse boarding with 10 stalls with a tack room, workshop, garage, hay storage and equipment storage. It has the potential to return to that use or to be converted into indoor event space. The additional horse hotel features two paddocks, three box stalls and trailer parking.
