Rock Creek Vineyard is on a hilltop parcel with a commanding view of the Temecula Valley. It has a lot size of 217,364 sq ft. It is the very 1st property on a hill coming from De Portola Wine Country. The creek water is rich in minerals. It was the water source for Vail Ranch animals some 100 years ago, the owner claimed.

The grapes have been harvested and produced into premium wines at Faulkner winery before and since 2016 to present, at Chapin Family Vineyards. The production volume varies but it averages 3,000 bottles per year. The owner said they could sell from $60 to $80 per bottle depending on the year and some library wines sell for as much as $110 per bottle. The vineyard’s Syrah had won 2 international awards before.

The property is just outside the Temecula Wine Country ordinances and is also just outside County-owned roads. It makes development some what more flexible.
