In 1890, several families who lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah (in the area known as “Manila”) worked together to save for, design, and build a small, three-room chapel in their community. The Old Manila Church was created through the sacrifice and love of a handful of families who shared a common vision of creating a special space in which to gather and worship. It has stood for over a century as a landmark in the community, a place of gathering and worship, an edifice of service and love.

In 1937, the church was expanded by adding a rec hall onto the east side of the building. In 1964, it underwent another major renovation to add more rooms and a larger rec hall. In 2007, the church was sold and stood abandoned for three years until it was sold to Randy and Vickie Bott. They, together with their family, worked hard for a year to turn this beloved building into an events center. Vickie used to say “Remodeling The Old Manila Church was a lot like giving a grand, old lady a new dress.” In 2015, their oldest daughter and her husband (Matt and Jennie Johnson) purchased the building and continue to hold several weddings and events each year. In 2022, they celebrated their 1000th event.

The Candlelight Chapel at Stone Gate is Utah's most beautiful wedding chapel. The 10' windows line the walls and fill the room with light as you exchange your vows. The castle door is a perfect storybook exit, leading down a long staircase to where your Horse-Drawn Carriage awaits.

With an amazing wooden dance floor, brick walls with twinkle-lit sheers, a draped shimmering ceiling complete with a large floral chandelier, your guests will feel ready to enjoy a grand celebration as soon as they walk through the pergola entrance. The Great Hall also boasts a large stage, the perfect place for special l dances, speeches, programs, DJs and live entertainment. Or, if you'd rather keep the twinkle-lit stage curtains closed, you can just plug your favorite playlist into our house sound system.

Do you have a lot of children attending your event? We've got you covered with a Children's Room attached to The Great Hall. Rather than having children run through your event space throughout the evening, your wedding planner will make sure they are able to enjoy a great event themselves with a movie and lots of fun toys to play with. We just ask that you provide adult supervision to watch over the children throughout the event.

With its tall pillars, mirrored archways, twinkle-lit sheers, Marie Antoinette chandeliers and sconces, The Grand Ballroom provides an elegant environment for enchanting wedding dinners and receptions. Specialty lighting can transform the entire room pink, purple, blue or virtually any other color to match your color scheme.
