Mega Saver
PRICE REDUCTION: Mega Saver | Absolute NNN | Sioux Falls, SD
Marketing description
Mega Saver was founded in 2002 in Omaha, Nebraska at a single location. Mega Saver is a privately held and locally owned business that focuses on discount convenience store items paired with top tier-rated fuel. Along with the broad assortment of C-store staples, Mega Saver is the Midwest’s largest authorized wireless retailer carrying phones, plans, repairs & accessories all under one roof!
The site is located approximately 0.5 miles north of Downtown Sioux Falls at the intersection of N. Minnesota Avenue and W. 5th Street. Minnesota Avenue is a primary north-south arterial carrying 22,000+ VPD and connecting the North End to the central business district. Interstate 29 (north-south) is approximately 1.5 miles west and Interstate 90 (east-west) is approximately 2.5 miles north — Sioux Falls sits at the crossroads of the two, providing direct regional access to Omaha (~180
miles south), Minneapolis (~240 miles northeast), and Fargo (~240 miles north).
Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD / Joe Foss Field) is approximately 2.5 miles northeast of the site and handled a record 1.5 million passengers in 2025 — up 6% over 2024 — with a $70 million concourse expansion underway. Falls Park, the city's signature tourist destination and downtown anchor, is less than 1 mile from the subject. Airport & Tourism Driver - The two largest employers in the state are both within a short drive: Sanford Health (11,000–12,000 Sioux Falls employees) and Avera Health (7,500–8,000 employees). Sanford's January 2025 merger with Wisconsin's Marshfield Clinic Health System created a combined system exceeding 56,000 employees. The Downtown CBD, home to Wells Fargo, Citibank operations, and the City/County government complex, is 0.5 miles south. Minnehaha County Human Services is directly across W. 5th Street.
Brand Growth – From 2002 to 2025, Mega Saver grew organically from 1 store to roughly 45 stores last year. In 2025, Mega Saver experienced rapid growth, acquiring 3 former Kum & Go stores in the Omaha market from Maverik. In August and September of ’25, Mega Saver acquired 23 additional Kum & Go stores, 20 in Iowa and 3 in Sioux Falls, SD. And to close out the year, Mega Saver agreed to acquire Yesway's 29-store portfolio (22 Iowa locations, 7 Kansas locations). To start 2026 Mega
Savers footprint scaled to roughly 100 stores across five states. More than doubling its store count in a single year.
Economic Base - Sioux Falls is the financial services and healthcare capital of the Upper Midwest. Citibank's 1980 relocation of its credit card operations to Sioux Falls established the banking and financial services sector as the state's largest economic driver, contributing roughly $7.9 billion annually. South Dakota has no state individual income tax, no corporate income tax, and no personal property tax. This is a structural capital-flow tailwind that continues to attract investment and residents.
