Shreveport Downtown Airport (DTN) is a general aviation/reliever airport located five minutes away from the Shreveport Downtown Business District. Flights from the downtown airport began in 1929 with Delta Air Lines. Construction for the original terminal building began in 1930, with the official opening and dedication taking place in June, 1931. In July, 1971, the current terminal building was dedicated and opened for business. The Downtown Airport offers two runways, Runway 14/32, measuring 5,017 feet long by 150 feet wide and Runway 5/23 measures 4,198 feet long by 75 feet wide.
