Salmon and trout use rearing streams on the course. The course is a links style course. The area is undergoing isostatic glacial rebound. The area is rising about 0.9 inches per year in relation to sea level because of glacial melting and decreased weight pushing the earth's crust down into the magma. Due to the environmentally sensitive nature of the area, pesticides and herbicides will not be used. Moose and bears frequent the area even though it is uncommon to actually see them. Their tracks are seen daily. Because of environmental considerations, the course will never have perfect grass, fairways, and greens. Designed by Mark Miller and built as a golf course, it's construction was started in 2003 and 2006 was the first year of commercial operation. currently enjoyed by locals and visitors alike with a pro shop, 3000 yards from the blue tees, par 36 for nine holes. A driving range about 260 yards deep that also has a small building at range. Eleven golf carts with new batteries in 2018, 40+ sets of clubs,3 commercial mowers (John Deere and 2 Toros + 2 John Deere tractors, a greens roller and a seed spreader for the tractor.
