The Two Rivers Winery sits nestled at the base of the Colorado National Monument, one of our nation’s national parks. On the edge of Grand Junction, Colorado, “The Heart of Colorado Wine Country”.

Being at the intersection of the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers, the Grand Valley is known for its agricultural potential. It was this that inspired the Founders and Current Owners to use this property to create what is now the award-winning Two Rivers Winery and Events Center.

The property sits on 15 acres on which was originally approved to be a Planned Use Development (PUD). With its prime location and convince to the City of Grand Junction, I-70 and a mid-sized regional airport, it made all the sense in the world to build another neighborhood. But after learning the history of agriculture and specifically wines in this area, the Founders changed their plans and set down “Roots”.

The property is a total of 15 acres. 10 Acres are planted with two different hybrids, Baco Noir, La Crescent, and Chardonnay. Although quality grapes are produced on the property, over 160 tons are purchased from other growers.

The buildings on the property consist of a 13,000 square foot chateau or event center, a 3,574 square foot winery building, a 4,034 square foot barrel storage and bottling line building, various farm and cold storage facilities, and a 3,605 Square foot residence.

TRW property also consists of two tasting rooms, a chateau event center capable of accommodating up to 200 people, and 10 overnight guest rooms that offer upscale lodging and gracious hospitality in a country French setting. These facilities are open to private and public wine tastings and events such as weddings, winemakers’ dinners, and corporate retreats. TRW is the only winery in the Grand Valley that offers a country inn and guest rooms, and as a result of its location and architecture, the winery has become a destination winery.

The owners are currently in the process of obtaining a “Winery Restaurant License.” This will enable the current Catering Kitchen and Facilities to convert to a full-service restaurant, if the next generation of ownership is inclined to do so. Having a destination “Winery Restaurant” asset on-site will only add to the value of this property. Both in reputation and in revenue.

Grand Junction is booming, and the West is becoming more popular as a recreation and quality of life destination every year. With Publications like Food & Wine Magazine calling this area of “Colorado Is the New Sonoma,” The sky is the limit.
