We spoke with the land use administrator of Rio Grande County, Dixie Diltz. She confirmed that in 2004, the property was approved for 53 duplexes (106 Units).
Since that time, there have been changes in the building and development codes that would probably not allow 106 units to fit on the property as duplexes. When site plan approval is sought, the developer will see how many units will fit as a practical matter.
