Investment highlights
Port Austin Air Force Station was one of twenty-eight stations built as part of the second segment of the Air Defense Command permanent radar network back in the 1950s. The main site housed the operations buildings, the radar towers, and the backup generators. The camp area housed the enlisted barracks, the bachelor officer’s quarters, the orderly room, the dining hall, the motor pool, and other support buildings. The portfolio includes four buildings, three of which are substantially fortified to withstand a nuclear blast, and a residential/commercial building with an open interior that is currently being framed. All are located roughly one mile from downtown Port Austin, Michigan.
